EKURHULENI ANC CAUCUS NINE (9) AREAS

Just after the local government elections in August 03, 2016, the Ekurhuleni African National Congress Caucus held its first Caucus Lekgotla at Kievitskroon Conference Centre from 13th – 15th September 2016.

The first Caucus Lekgotla of the 4th administration since the inception of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipalitytook place a month after the challenging local government elections which encouraged the new administration in tackling key issues and what needs to be carried forward, based on how far the previous caucus has progressed. Furthermore, to evaluate if the inherited plans are reflecting the ANC fresh mandate, hence the Nine (9) ANC Caucus focus areas:

1.      Consolidating the understanding of our political mandate (2016-2021)
In this regard, the following must be internalised as our mandate:

2.      Ensuring a responsive ANC leg government

3.      Strengthening of political oversight on the implementation of ANC commitments.

4.        Ensuring a smooth political management

5.        Ensuring that Caucus complements the political work of the ANC

6.        ANC Caucus that is accountable

7.        Building of a capable and developed ANC Caucus membership.

8.        ANC Caucus that is articulate
